About this site
This website is to be used as a reference for our group. It's intended to save time that would otherwise be spent giving information during meetings, so we can talk of more important things.
Privacy: Access to personal content, such as prayer items, requires the user to be logged in. Click the "remember me" option to avoid having to enter a password in future.
Password: Initially, all users will have the same password, but you can change this to individual passwords. Logging in will require an email address.
The sections for the site are:
Next meeting:
This is the front page of the website. Although the verse and theme for the following week is given at the end of each meeting, these and and additional information, such as other questions and related verses, are listed here.
All meetings:
This shows a list of the key verse, topic, and question for each meeting, which expands on clicking to show the details of other questions and related verses.
Reference verses:
This page shows a list of all topics for which there was a significant number of other verses which added meaning to the verse we looked at. Clicking on "Read more" will display the text of those verses.
Reflections:
As there are often some people away, placing your reflections on this page allows them to catch up with what you shared. And it also allows us to look back at what has been shared in the past. Just email your notes to me, or upload them in a file on the Contact page after logging in.
Prayer:
A reminder of current prayer items for our group.
Guidelines for discussion:
This is a checklist of what makes discussion go smoothly, to help us avoid "putting our foot in our mouth".
Links of interest:
When you find material you would like to share with the group, place it here for us all to see. YouTube links by people such as Prof. John Lennox are a good example. Just email the link to me, or send it on the Contact page.
Contact:
This page has a messaging function, with logged in users able to upload files. It also lists my contact details for phone or email.
