(1)  What must I do to be saved?

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

Acts 10:43

To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins

Romans 3:24-25

being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness

Galations 5:6

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

1 John 5:4

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.

(2)  How do I receive salvation?

Acts 16:29-31
(the keeper of the prison) . . . ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas.  And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved.”
John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.  For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

John 3:36

He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life

Galations 2:20

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

(3)  How much faith do I need?

Mark 9:23-24

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”

Matthew 17:20-21

if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

(4)  Is this gift of salvation offered to everyone?

Ezekiel 33:11

‘As I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live’.

1 Timothy 2:3-4

. . . God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

(5)  Are all people saved?

Matthew 23:37

“O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!”

Acts 7:51

“You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.”

(6)  What does the Bible mean by Faith?

1 John 2:34

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.  He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Matthew 7:16

You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles?

John 15:5

He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
